The combination of puri jagannath and gopichand raised expectations becuase they both were having rough patch in recent times,so has the film reached the expectations or not,let us see.


Story:Gangaram(gopichand) is an orphan who wants to become a police officer since
childhood,and he achieves his ambition with the help of a hotle owner(M S Narayana). Soon after joining the police department,he gets appreciation from the DGP and he
is promoted as encounter specialist,with four assistants and there by how he caughts
the hold of gangsters khalid(Kelly Dorjie),Talwar(Villain in Recchipo) and also how
changes a malehater Pavitra(Priyamani) to love him.

Performances:

Gopichand was splendid.He perfectly fits into the role of a police officer ,his body language,diction all came well together.Especially he was terrific in the scene before
teh interval with villain in phone,and in the scene in 2nd half where he gets dismissed
from the department.The way he shows anger in his face is mind blowing.

Priyamani's role was good,she dispalys the arrogance,innocence and the straightforwardness needed for the role very well.

Roja was good in her role,Nazar's role looks routine but his role has a twist before the
ending of his role.The guy who acted as ACP was good.Kelly Dorjie and Recchipo fame actor done their bit well.Ali's role is short but his entrance made the hall full of whistles.
Other were good.Prakah raj appears in guest role in last reel of the movie,and the audience response was mindblowing.

songs :

Salaam police song starting looks a bit odd,but the lyrics were topclass,it goes like "Nuvve dikku antu aa devudaina pampedi policenera" This song also has some good dance done by Gopichand.

Title song was not upto the mark but the situation was good,and also the beat "Golimaar"
was good.

Magallu song comes when priyamani drinks,lyrics concentrate on how the men cheat
the women.

Gundello song is captivating both audio and video wise.

De tadi song sund Mumaith Khan is a bit confusing,but the situation is good.

Last long "Ayyayo" was pictuirsed well.

Bacground score was good but could have been better.It has also shades of manisharma
in some of the scenes.

Camera:Shyam K Naidu was good in his work,lightings kept the mood except some scenes and also a scene between Nazar and Roja.

Editing:There are no unnecessary scenes and lengthy scenes,good work by the editor.

Fights:There are no special fight sequences in the film except for the climax,all come
as a sequences of encounter by the protagonist.

Dialogues were good,although they look very ordinary,puri used them in vital sequences.
I like this dialogue very much,

"Police la feel avvu,Herola kaadu",a higher officer to Gopichand,
Gopichand in return"Naaku maatram Police ante Hero ne sir".

This is best screenplay ever from puri,there is no such instance which we can call as a drop out in screenplay,also he placed the twists at the time we never expect.

As a Director,puri just mastered in his department,be it the characterization of the protagonist,heroine and roja,there are enough situations and struggle to the characters to behave like that.

However,Puri is in hangover of"Pokiri" still,there are some similarities in threads like..,

1)Nazar-Gopichand conflict is similar to Mahesh and Ashish Vidhyarthi in Pokiri

2)The climax scene in whicn the villain tries to bribe the hero by offering money is similar to the scene between Praksh Raj and Mahesh


As Puri alredy said that this story is inspired by Encounter specialist Dayanayak , it has some similarities from siddham and Ab tak chappan where the police officer higher official is in connection with the mafia don.

According to me,this film has no minus points except some small logics here and there,
these type of logics can be find in any movie,and this surpasses "Pokiri" in terms of
screenplay.
