Love Failure: definitely not a failure

Story:

Ippati varuku ilanti story manam chudaledu annatu emi undadu... very routine story. Okka happy, easy go, tension less ga unde abbai life lo oka ammayi vastadi. Aa ammayiki family problems. They fall in love, their love starts falling after few days, godavalu, break ups, patch ups again break up..so on and so forth. Parallel ga pedda vallu madhya premalu kopaalu, godavalu. Alage hero friends premalu, break up lu, valla friends premalu break up lu..final ga kadha sukhantham. Anthe!!!

Performances:

Siddu: Energy less ga, pale ga unnadu cinema antha...actual ga aa character ki alage undali. Ilanti roles siddu ki cake walk. Thana role ki poorti nyayam chesadu.

Amala Paul: She is a real find. Kalla thone vadha expressions palikistundi. Chala close ups untayi movie lo avani carry out cheyyali ante chala guts undali. She was right there. Chala baga chesindi, infact Siddu kante Amala ke ekkuva points veyyali. Too gud she is.

Siddu Friends: Names teliyavu but they all did an excellent job. Comedy baga work out ayyindi, ekkada forced ga undadu. Plot lo ne untundi. Good work.

Others: Siddu parents ga chesina vallu decent job cheste, Suresh & Surekha vani, Amala parents ga chesaru & they were outstanding.

Music:

Thaman bagane chesadu, songs inka konchem better ga unte inka bagundedi. BGM matram chala bagundi, carried out the movie’s mood very well.

Technical Depts:

Cinematography is top notch, chala bagundi. Chala close ups untayi cinema lo but ekkada awkward ga undavu frames. Editing preety good in parts but second half lo akkadakkada cut chesi unte bagundedi, ayina movie 2 hours untundi kabbati pedda theda em undadu.

Direction:

A very interesting narration, cinema antha Siddu character audience tho interact avtune untadu, may be this bettered the connectivity factor. Ee cinema ni main ga youth and college students ke target chesaru but ekkada kuda cheap comedy or unwanted romance lantivi undavu. Neat & clean story telling. Very impressive.

Overall ga cheppali ante happy ga velli 2 hours enjoy chesi ravvacchu. Hadavidi, hungama, over dose of sentiment emi undavu. Go watch it!!

It is straight from the hearts of Director, Hero, and Music director. Genuine Attempt. Honest film.

Hero speaking straight from the hearts is punchy enough, n no punch dialog gimmics are required. Ranbir has shown, innocence, tenderness, and aggressiveness with the same panache. Laudable performance. Nargis gave appreciable performance for a new commer.

At the first hear, I felt that songs are not upto the standards of ARR. But they have grown with time. And now after watching movie, I feel songs are not meant to be chart-busters individually, in the first place, as they speak volumes about the story, and emotion. Songs are exceptional on screen. Especially, I was immersed in "Aur Ho", while watching.

Movie is a bit lenghty, but Imtiaz ali's intentions are clear on not compromising in the name of commercial values, as it is evident that he is the same director who made Love Aaj Kal in just over 2 hours. The already master in story telling has reached new heights with Rockstar. Screenplay looses grip here and there, but Imtiaz hardly has any with the kind of plot. Open ended climax proves that the film is never intended to be a block-buster.

Productions values are top notch. Cinematographer captured locations of Kashmir, and Prague beautifully.

Finally, It is a soothing, sour stirring, yet fascinating love story, which I wanna watch again for sure, n again may be.

P.S: Can understand if entertainment quest audience doesnt like the movie. But the what the F is wrong with the so-called intellectual reviewers? they give 4 and aboves for no brainers like bodyguard, Ra.1, Golmaals n Dhooms. Then why cant they encourage such genuine attempt? Even though they write any good, finally their rating would not go beyond 3.

This is the problem if film makers try to do any meaningful cinema. People want it to be so perfect and flawless, that even small glitches will be seen in magnifying glass and considered as blunders. But Mindless commercial pot-boilers get all the exceptions, and it is enough to have a few entertaining moments with completely flawed script. Damn.

"Away.. Beyond.. all the concepts of wrong-doing, and right-doing, there is a field.. I will meet you there". ... touching.
